- $510,000 to embattled Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker in January 2012 from David Humphreys and Sarah Atkins.
- $250,000 to the anti-union “Protecting Michigan Taxpayers” campaign in October 2012 from Ethelmae Humphreys. The campaign opposed Proposal 2, a ballot proposal that would put collective bargaining protections in their state constitution.
- $204,650 to the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC)
- $50,000 to the New Prosperity Foundation, a political organization created by former Bush Pioneers to “shape Midwest elections.”
- $25,000 to the recount fund of Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice David Prosser, who supported the contentious law stripping public workers of most of their collective bargaining rights.
- Undisclosed support from Ethelmae Humphreys for the Michigan-based Mackinac Center, an overtly anti-union organization.
And these are only the disclosed contributions. Corporations organized as 501c4 nonprofits are not required to publicly disclose their donors. Indeed, the Humphreys Family was recognized by billionaire industrialist Charles Koch in 2011 for donating "more than a million" to the Koch Brothers network’s campaign efforts.
