Thank you letter from Steelworkers

I recieved this e-mail from the United Steelworker's Rapid Response today: I also wish to thank our members and family whom took the time to vote in this last election.

Elections in Missouri generally very close. Your vote does count and on behalf of our SOAR executive board, we are thankful that many of the membership and family are politically active.

Gary,

Thank you for your kind words and for taking time to share your thoughts
with us.

This victory was a team effort. We have never before seen such activism
in our union focused on any one election. Members from every state,
every industry, every walk of life - retired and active alike stepped up
to bring change to America and to protect workers and their rights.

Though we weren't successful in every state, such as in Missouri, you
should hold your head high, knowing that this was a national effort and
your work there forced the opposition to spend valuable resources
protecting a state they once felt was automatically in their column.
Also, in the end, it was once of the closest votes in the history of
presidential votes in Missouri.

Congratulations for that and for your hard work.

We won together, now we have to work together to make sure the new
administration and congress fight for us as we need them to.

Thanks again, and keep up the great work!

Tim Waters, USW
Director of Rapid Response
