On election day, the study warns there could be acts of intimidation at the polls ranging from hovering, video-taping voters, blocking lines or challenging voters’ right to participate.
Unlike some states, Missouri is praised for having a “pretty strong” law discouraging election day voter challenges. Anyone questioning the right of a voter to participate on election day in Missouri must be from the same precinct where the challenge is made. Also, any Missouri voter whose registration is called into question can still cast a provisional ballot, which is supposed to be counted after their registration is later verified.
